The repository is the one you inited using 'cvs init' and where CVS's archive
files are stored.  The working directory is where you edit files.

You'd probably be better off reading the first few sections of the manual
rather than asking a lot of questions like this.  There's a copy online at
http://cvshome.org/docs/manual .
