Help on client/server model authentication

Hi,
    I am trying to client/server model working with AIX box as the server
and solaris box as the client.
The reverse is working, i mean solaris box as server, AIX box as client.
I am not able to get authencated after all the formalities of creating
passwd file in CVSROOT directory of repository, then adding the users,
adding entries in inetd.conf, services files.
#cvs -d :pserver:address@hidden:/cvs/Neptune login
 (Logging in to address@hidden)
 CVS password:
Its just hanging here, i am not getting any response.
I feel there is some problem in talking to cvspserver. Any ideas of why its
not working?. Do i need to add anything else?.
