Hi folks, sorry for the delay.  I just did this:

  # grep 'From: address@hidden' *-H | cut -c1-16 | xargs exim -Mrm

which appears to have removed the remaining queued messages.

I've double checked by looking for messages in the mail queue whose
'Date:' isn't August 2001, and it looks like we're clear now.

Also checked the secondary MXer for gnu.org, which was uninfested.

People may still have locally queued copies bouncing around their own
mail routers, of course... :-(
