gdbm fatal: read error

Hi all,

I tried to create a branch using rtags, but something
went wrong. If I try to use rtags now or checkout -r I
get the message: gdbm fatal: read error. 

I can still update, commit, and tag the main line, but
I can't seem to do anything towards branches now.

I assume I've broken some admin file, but I'm new to
CVS and don't know what it might be. Running in local
mode on win98 from the cygwin.
