Here we go again...

Someone please convince me that CVS is good.  I am pretty happy with 
SourceSafe but its limited branching capabilities are forcing us to switch.  
I opt for ClearCase as I am Rational certified but money is an issue.  On 
the other hand setting up CVS on our Linux server so far has not been so 
easy.  I do plan to install and administer CVS on Linux and have NT/2000 and 
Mac Clients to logon to the Linux server to get the files.

I got the latest version of the gui from wincvs.org and set it up on my NT 
machine.  I can not connect to the linux server at all.  What am I  missing 
or not doing right?
