I've copied the line in the /etc/inetd.conf, commended the old one and deleted
the tcpd-part in the new line. The same result.

The pop3d and smtpd are disabled in the inetd.conf, because on my linuxbox I've
installed qmail which is working with tcpserver from Dan Bernstein. But I don't
think that must be a reason.
