What you are now experiencing is the standard behaviour of "cvs edit",
IIRC. Did you "upgrade" the version of CVS you're using and possibly got
rid of a patch that was installed before?

Hi,
I need an urgent help. Our group consist of four developers. We are using
CVS. We used cvs edit command. It worked ok.
Now, for unknown reason, one persone can cvs edit file. Another person can
cvs edit file too without any error message. But when this person tries
command cvs editors, he can looks that he has locked file with no name,
first column is empty.
Any ideas please?
Jirik
