Can import remove files?

Hi,

Tracking third-party sources - how can I ensure that files that are
removed from the third-party source are removed from my imported copy?

Eg. Test is a project containing test1.php and test2.php. It is imported
into CVS: 

cvs import -m "import of test" mytest test test_18_12_01

One week later, test1.php has been removed from test... New version is
imported into CVS:

cvs import -m "import of test" mytest test test_24_12_01
cvs co mytest - both files still checkout...?

Thanks for any help. Sorry if my question is real dumb. I have read the
manual, but I couldn't find help on this topic.
