Diff on certain files in root of a module hangs

WinCVS 1.2, CVSNT 1.10.8:
I've problems when making a diff on certain text-files which are in the 
root folder of a module.
Say the local sandbox is D:\CVSSandbox, you have a module "MyModule" and 
a file "D:\CVSSandbox\MyModule\File.xml".
When making the diff, WinCVS hangs and never finishes the diff. This is 
100% reproducable for certain files. It works fine for others.
The file I have problems with is a text-file with XML content.
