I just had the same issue happen to me.  I'm setting up a cvs pserver on
a Sun Sparc Ultra-4.  Most of our development is done in local mode, so we
usually don't have any problems.  We're now trying out pserver mode
(secure network) and we're getting these hanging processes.  CVS version
1.11.1p1.  Would you suggest the latest and greatest development version?
