OFF-TOPIC: Spam on the CVS mailing lists

I have received a lost of spam from this mailing list. I know there are 
other lists using the same mailing list software, and they do not have a 
spam problem. It seems that the CVS mailing lists don't have the "sender 
must be a member of the list to send a message to the list" option 
selected. I think such a requirement would benefit everybody subscribed 
to the list
