Problems adding and committing a Microsoft Word document that is seen as binary but isn't

Hi

I have a problem adding and committing a Word document. We are using WinCVS
1.2 on the client side. When I try to add the file as normal text I get the
following error:

Warning : 'Using Rup Defintion in Rubico.doc' seems to be 'binary', you
should use the 'Add binary files...' command instead...

So I cancel out of the action. Try to add the file as binary:

Warning : 'Using Rup Defintion in Rubico.doc' seems to be a text file, you
should correct it first

If I ignore either of the above warnings and go on with the operation, the
file is corrupted and only 1 Kb big.

The document is actually 652 Kb. The only "unusual" thing in the document is
a table with hyperlinks to other parts in the document.

Any suggestions?
