Checkout Problem

Has anyone seen a problem with checkout that produces
these error messages?

[cvs] cvs checkout: in directory Projects:
[cvs] cvs checkout: cannot open CVS/Entries for
reading: No such file or directory
[cvs] cvs checkout: cannot open CVS/Tag: No such file
or directory
[cvs] cvs [checkout aborted]: cannot open
CVS/Entries.Static: No such file or directory

I receive these errors when checking out a module
named, "Projects/xub".  I think the problem is related
to trying to checkout a module containing more than
one directory.  I do not receive an error when
checking out the module named, "Projects".

Any help is greatly appreciated.
