How to unlock

I have made some type of typographical error and Ctrl/C'ed out of it.  I am
working on
a Win2000 machine accessing the Linux machine via Secure Shell.  There is a
lock file
in the repository directory /home/username/jplPlay/semBLib and the error
message I get
when trying to perform further cvs operations is the following.

cvs status: [12:19:10] waiting for username's lock in
/home/username/jplPlay/semBLib

Any help with how to fix this "lock" situation would be appreciated.
