Extracting removed files

CVS gurus,

Bear with me; I'm far from an CVS expert. I'm trying to extract a removed
module (folder). The module is actually only removed from the main trunk,
but when I check out a branch (the only one in the system), it's not
included in this (which it should be).

I'm probably misunderstanding something here, but anyway; how do I get the
latest revision of the files in the removed module _based on the given
branch_?

Thanx.
