How did that happen?  You shouldn't really be trying to use CVS branches
in any module that you created with "cvs import", especially not if the
purpose was to continue maintaining the module as a vendor-branched
project (i.e. do more "cvs import"s).

You really don't want to get too fancy with vendor-branched modules.
There are many dark corners.

The proper way to get a file out of the Attic is to "cvs add" it.
