This is not completely correct.  "cvs checkout" (and export, I
believe) *do* give each checked-out file the timestamp of the
revision it came from.

"cvs update", however, gives the files the current time.  If it
didn't, "make" might fail to rebuild objects that should have
been rebuilt.

My Wine works.  However it crashes about half the time on startup.
Apparently their simulation of windoze API is getting too accurate.  :)
