What access method do you use? If it's pserver, have either the
CVSROOT/passwd or CVSROOT/users files been modified recently?

Has user xyz changed his/her password recently, without updating the CVS
password (or perhaps the other way around)?

How many users are affected - just this one, or a group of users?
