Conventions for CVS

Hi,

     This is less of a use issue as much as a usage issue:

     I have a ton of branches open from projects long since done and merged
to HEAD.  My question is this:  is it considered normal / customary to close
these branches by using "cvs admin -n xxx" or should I keep them open?
