either of them is less than cvs 1.11.17 for the stable release

$ cvs version

In the general case, you should also tell us the operating system you
are using and the transport method (:ext: over ssh, :pserver:,
:gserver:, or whatever you happen to be using).

The above disclaimer is silly and makes your company (and you) look
foolish

I know. Unfortunately it's pasted on by the company mailer, nothing I can do about it. I'd email the CIO and tell him he's stupid but I don't think that would help my career ;)

If you can't stop sending such attachments due to corporate policy, I
suggest you get an e-mail account that is not as restricted and use that
to post questions in the future as many folks will just ignore such
e-mail.

I dream of the day I can do that. We're firewalled to the teeth here and there's no way the company will let me use an external mail account from the office :(

(I'll probably ignore any future message from you that still retains the
disclaimer myself...)

Sorry to hear that. I wish there was something I could do about it, I really do. I find the disclaimer stupid and meaningless (and it probably doesn't have any legal standing) but there really is nothing I can do about it.

I could start posting from google groups, but that's not an email account :(

Jc (sorry for the silly disclaimer that follows)
