Why?  If they're text files, they shouldn't be in any specific format --
it's up to the CVS client to create the correct file format for the
platform where they're checked out.  In general, you should always
edit and commit on the same platform where you did the original checkout
and let CVS worry about format conversions.  (And don't use pretend
you're on a different platform than what you really are, like installing
CygWIN on Windows with Unix line endings rather than DOS line endings.)
