Making cvs not check out the root directory of your repository

Lets say in your repository your directory is labelled Project1 but within it you have /www/cgi-bin... etc  How would you go about having CVS not create a Project1/ directory when you checkout Project1?  I don't think you could do it with modules as modules always retain the project named directory in its path on checkout. When I checkout a project it comes out as Project1/www/cgi-bin, when I would like for there to be a way to make it produce www/cgi-bin directly?
