Yes.  Server:  stock CVS on Redhat 7.2, access through ssh with
public key authentication.  I create user accounts as needed and
copy public keys to the ~/.ssh/authorized_keys files.  Oh, and I
installed viewcvs under apache because some users find it useful.

Linux clients:  stock CVS and ssh.  Windows clients: TortoiseCVS,
with PuTTY for the ssh access.

Like I said, I just used the stock binaries that came with my
boxes.  This is not a big team and software development is not our
primary function by a long shot, so we're not exactly stress-testing
the setup.  The RH 7.2 dates from my starting day.  I know it looks
old now, but it still works fine.

This is on an intranet, so I don't have to be too paranoid
about security.  The apache is probably the biggest hole !

At my previous job we had a Linux server and various clients with
a small but very active team (as in: update three times a day or
you'll be left behind).  As far as I know the server was whatever
Redhat release was current at the time and the CVS was the stock
install.  Worked fine.
