Maybe but where does that comes from and how can I change it. My hosts
file are not used ( I am using xinetd not inetd ) and empty and the
firewall is empty also:
address@hidden ~]# cat /etc/hosts.allow
#
# hosts.allow This file describes the names of the hosts which are
# allowed to use the local INET services, as decided
# by the '/usr/sbin/tcpd' server.
#
address@hidden ~]# cat /etc/hosts.deny
#
# hosts.deny This file describes the names of the hosts which are
# *not* allowed to use the local INET services, as
decided
# by the '/usr/sbin/tcpd' server.
#
# The portmap line is redundant, but it is left to remind you that
# the new secure portmap uses hosts.deny and hosts.allow. In
particular
# you should know that NFS uses portmap!
address@hidden ~]# iptables -F
address@hidden ~]# /etc/init.d/xinetd restart
Stopping xinetd: [ OK ]
Starting xinetd: [ OK ]
address@hidden ~]# telnet localhost 2401
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.localdomain (127.0.0.1).
Escape character is '^]'.
Connection closed by foreign host.
Thanks for your help.
