Working my way through those links is slow because frustration takes hold of
me very quickly - and I keep having to walk away and leave it.

There's nothing wrong with my cvs-1.11.19 installation, and there's nothing
wrong with my putty installation either .... so, assuming that the 2 can be
made to work together, it's just a matter of discovering how that can be
achieved. If the information is in there, then I'll find it ..... eventually
:-)

In the meantime I can transfer files between the linux and win32 boxes via a
local connection, and do the cvs stuff from the linux box over a dial-up
connection.

Thanks for the pointers, Spiro.

Cheers,
Rob
