To be clear:
-> cvs co -d <module alias> <module name>
cvs co -d mylib-HEAD -r HEAD mylib
cvs co -d mylib-dev-branch -r dev-branch mylib
This will create:
mylib-HEAD/
mylib-dev-branch/
