Did it help? (Mine was just an example I threw together, I was trying
to get you to provide information on your own configuration file.)

(Note: I have not yet played with FC4 myself...)

I don't see any 'cvs -t -d :pserver:localhost:/var/cvs login' output,
did I miss it?
