There are many such versions. FreeBSD has been using cvs for development
for many years.

Any of the current versions on cvshome.org will work.
Any of the current versions of cvsnt.org should work.

You could also just use the version that FreeBSD provides.

Experimental CVS releases may be found in /usr/ports/devel/cvs+ipv6 and
/usr/ports/devel/cvsnt for FreeBSD.
