When you talk about directories, you mean fisical directories, in my example
the files where exactly in the same directory.
Well!, better I check first the contrib/log_accum and contrib/log.

Of course it does. That's entirely the wrong approach to the problem.
If one mail message per directory is acceptable, see contrib/log. If
you want a single mail message for a commit that spans multiple
directories, see contrib/log_accum and contrib/commit_prep.
