I'm in much the same situation as you -- I subscribed just a couple of
months ago. Since I use this Gmail address for my web-visible list
subscriptions, I reported the email as spam. Presumably if lots of
other Gmail users do likewise, such email will no longer get through
their filters.
BTW, Gmail is generally an excellent spam-filter. I have email
forwarded from there to my regular account. Let me know if you want
a Gmail invite.
