Multiple CVS servers for a single CVS repository

Current configuration:
1. Connection method: pserver
2. Repository size: 30+ GB
3. Client type: Windows and Linux
4. CVS server: One HP server running Linux
5. File type: Text and binary
6. Repository is on a NFS file sever.
7. Module size size can be as big as 1.2 GB.

Since we are constantly seeing more than 60 concurrent
users and cvs response is very slow. I am trying to
improve the performance by imporving file server and
network performance. In addition, I would like to find
if I can add additional CVS servers to do some kind of
load balancing. My question is can I just add another
CVS server and mount the same file server. How is CVS
handling the lock? If multiple read/write requests
from two different CVS server, will data integrity be
maintained?
