Thank you Jason... That is exactly what I am doing, but I do not do
anything other than your last 2 lines:

> setenv CVS_RSH=ssh
> setenv CVS_ROOT=:ext:[abbreviation]:[repos]

The .ssh/config apparently seems no required. Coz it works perfectly
without that.
