How To Overwrite MAIN with branch in CVS

Hi,

I'm a CVS newbie. I've been working on a CVS  branch for many months
without merging it to the MAIN/HEAD branch. Many new folders/files
have been added to the branch...also folders/files have been deleted
from the branch. The branch is so different from the HEAD, that I
don't want to merge it anymore. Is there a way in CVS, where I can
overwrite the HEAD with the branch changes. Basically after the
operation the HEAD should be identical to branch (having added folders/
files and should not have deleted folders/files from the branch).
