Hi,
Im using the WinCVS 1.2 client. When I try to checkout a certain module
from a repository, I get the ***cvs exited normally with code 1***.
The cvs server is running on CentOS 4.5
Are there any log files created for a checkout. Please help, Iv been
banging my head over this for some time
IIRC under WinCVS you are running CVSNT
http://march-hare.com/cvsnt
http://www.wincvs.org/
this question may ultimately need to be asked on one of their mailing
lists.
If WinCVS or CVSNT spits out more than "***cvs exited normally with
code 1***" between starting the command and ending it, that
information might have helped us.
In the meantime, it should be possible to run CVSNT from the command
line and IIRC it takes at least all of the same options as CVS, so on
the machine where you have ran WinCVS run:
`cvs -t checkout certain_module`
And as you probably only set your CVSROOT inside of WinCVS, you will
need to copy that to the command line:
`cvs -d yourCVSROOT -t checkout certain_module`
This should give you a "trace of program execution" which may yield
more clues.
Thanks
