My developers use eclipse + CVS and I am trying to
understand the following:
1. when some files get checked in they go into
/project/Web/pages/Attic on the server.
2. while when they get checked out both in eclipse and
on the cli they appear in /project/Web/pages. This
action is occurring on a branch tag.
Does this make sense to anyone? If it does can
someone explain it?
"Files go into the Attic when they don't exist on the trunk. If a file is
added [from a sandbox checked out] on a branch, it doesn't exist on the trunk"
[added by me.]

#2 above may be explained here:

Can someone also recommend a good
book?
(I have only really used the first and second links here)
http://ximbiot.com/cvs/manual/stable
http://ximbiot.com/cvs/wiki/index.php?title=CVS_FAQ#Source_Configuration_Management_Best_Practices
http://cvsbook.red-bean.com/
Also "Essential CVS" or "All About CVS (ebook)" have been mentioned a few
times on the list lately.
I am new to cvs and I have been under the wrong
impression. I can't find any explanation on the web.
TIA,
ZK
Hope this helped.
