Sadia,
Please _ALWAYS_ at least CC the mailing list.
I suspect English is not your first language and have been trying to work with it, but there is something you could do to make reading (and understanding) your posts a little easier: that is when ever you feel the need to insert a period (full stop) please also insert a newline, i.e., hit return/enter.
(I will be breaking the lines up below so I can read them.)

Also are you subscribed[1] to the mailing list? I may have only sent my last reply to the list. That happens from time to time[2].

Hi Todd,
I am sorry to resend the mail.
BUt I am actually in need of help.
I have done as you suggested me to do .
But there is a problem in Commiting the changes for the server side.

I have to start right away working on CVS so I am stuck becuase it shows an error on commiting

Seeing the exact error would have helped, even if you have put it in previous emails. That is, I don't know how to help with that error because I don't know what that error is.

and other I mentioned.
Please look at my previous mail.

Apart from that I wanted to ask you if I have to make any changes in /etc/passwd file on server and client side as the users which can only be created on main server side and are created like this sadia:x:508:100::/users/sadia:/bin/bash

If you are using NIS/LDAP then all the clients have the same user names, passwords and groups. But you have not indicated that the systems are using NIS/LDAP or independent user authentication/authorization configurations.

so do I need to make any changes to it so that they can access the cvsgroup I created with gid 800?

Assuming gid 800 looks like:
sadiascvsgroup:x:800:sadia,user1,user2,user3,userN,tahseen
and sadia,user1,user2,user3,userN,tahseen are the only users you want to access the cvs, then you are done configuring the group.

I look forward to hear from you

BTW, Sorry, No more answers to direct emails.
Only to ones that are sent to the address@hidden list.
