It's an Android bug and it is fixed in the next release (probably next week).
A Beta version with the fixe is available on the store.
In the meantime, the only way to avoid the crash is to remove the contact and
recreate it.

| My app crashes after the following steps:
|
| 1. entered chat
| 2. pressed the record a video button
| 3. recorded video
| 4. submitted
| 5. once video was sent i was back in the chats list view and I saw that my
| most recent chat said "file sent"
| 6. I tapped that chat to enter it, and my app crashed
|
| I am using a pixel 3a.
