libtool: ltconfig version `' does not match ltmain.sh version `1.3.5

Hi,

I'm stuck compiling GConf. The reason i'm stuck is this message when
"make" is executed.

libtool: ltconfig version `' does not match ltmain.sh version `1.3.5

I read other reports on this error and tried the solutions but those
solutions are not detailed enough for me i guess.

I did the following already (though to no avail):

-  did a "aclocal" in the source dir to refresh/re-create the aclocal.m4
-  did a "libtoolize -f" to re-create the symlinks to the proper
   ltconfig and ltmain.sh

Both "/usr/share/ltconfig" and "/usr/share/ltconfig" files are:
VERSION=1.3.5
TIMESTAMP=" (1.385.2.206 2000/05/27 11:12:27)"

So why do i still get the message that they are different ?

Can someone tell me in reasonable detail what to do to fix this.
