Re: libtool is hiding errors from failed GCC build

Okay, since everyone who responded seemed in favour of the patch, can I 
get permission to apply it in GCC, at least until a more complex 
solution is written for libtool?  Things really are in a bad way at the 
moment with this "invisible" bootstrap error, and hopefully being able 
to *see* the failure will help someone to fix it.
