re all,

i have a problem with a recent version of libtool included into
slackware 8.1: it does'nt correctly compile dlopen .so objects which are
composed of both C and ASM code where the latter should be compiled
using NASM.

you can have a look at my software FreeJ http://freej.dyne.org where two
plugins don't get correctly compiled within the
autoconf/automake/libtool source packaging.

i did'nt noticed this problem with GNU libtool 1.4, while more recent
versions don't work.

you can also have a look on the cvsweb on
http://savanna.gnu.org/projects.freej to verify what i'm doing to have
NASM used to compile .asm files, in particular in plugins/absdiff and
plugins/vertigo Makefile.am

i'd be very grateful to have any pointers about the issue, please feel
free to ask me further questions if needed!

and please keep me in Cc: for this thread,

thanks a lot for your work, cheers
