It seems that libtool.m4 may depend on argz.m4 ltdl.m4 ltoptions.m4 ltsugar.m4 ltversion.m4 How stable do you think that list is? (for those programmes which don't want to depend on automake for the sake of aclocal) Cheers, Patrick
