libtool: link: cannot find the library `'

Folks: 

 I am getting this error:

 libtool: link: cannot find the library `'

 I have searched the archives and could not find any messages related
to that - The single ont that mentioned that was  was a unified diff,
which I applied and did not solve the problem. It seems to be related
to the -pthread lib.

 Here is the link command.

The .la is build sucessfully - the binary gives me the problem


BTW: libtool version is:

 libtool --version
ltmain.sh (GNU libtool) 1.4.3 (1.922.2.111 2002/10/23 02:54:36)

 I have not upgraded it yet with fear to break all of the other stuff. :P)
