Hi Boris,

there is a bare Radiotronix WI232EUR modem in that BOPLA box. Add a
FTDI232 USB-to-serial cable, a 3.3V linear regulator with 100nF
capacitors from in and out supplies to ground and solder a SMA
connector with cable to the RF of the WI232EUR. Make sure you only
connect RTS to /CMD if you want to reprogram the modem with the
Evaluation software. Added a picture in the Wiki.

Some "smart" daemonized software might try to access the serial port
while running Paparazzi, there is no real way of single-use blocking
the serial USB driver. The Ubuntu braille is a candidate and also the
gpsd. Make sure no one else tries to access /dev/ttyUSB0.
