It's actually a good solution to have no yaw control on the ground (should  
be equal to in_flight = false), because, as Gautier wrote, in some cases  
having yaw control on the ground can cause wrong behavior, up to flipping  
over. Actually in_flight should be set to true, as you took off, that is  
why I'm wondering about which flight mode do you use. That could probably  
explain something.
