So I'm using gcc (Debian 5.2.1-15) 5.2.1 20150808 I have attached a log file of the result of running the command from the previous email,  I'm not sure what build flags have changed but you may be able to figure it out.  Sorry I can't be more helpful, I'm still learning, but I'll run anything you like.

Oh, I ended up rebuilding the debian package to make it work, I hit a missing symbol error once i tried to run the simulator after compiling last time.
