The "solution" to this issue would be to run configure, then 'make
dist' in order to generate a proper tarball for which it is no longer
required to run ./autogen.sh.

The only reason that would speak against this is that there is already
a bugtracker at http://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?group=adonthell,
which is the main project site. (Although I can see that somebody
getting the source from github will not find that very obvious. The
link is in the README, however.)
