Not quite as good as the Alibaba logo (smiling face inside an a), but
not as expensive as the redesigned Xiaomi logo ($30,000 for round corners).

The colors are similar to those in Chinese (书法)/Japanese (書道)
calligraphy[1][2] though can be changed. It is possible to do digital
calligraphy [3], or convert calligraphy on paper into something that can
be used digitally[4].


It is interesting that both Baidu and Sogou play on the theme of search
dog. The logo for sohu.com is also quite elegant, seems influenced by
calligraphy.
