aspell stopped working?

Hi,

Been using aspell for a while now and it is a great improvement over
ispell. However, just yesterday is stopped working. Not sure what I
did, which I know is of little help, but now I am getting "aspell did
not output a version number" when I try to use it from emacs.

Any help appreciated thanks.

Spencer

What does "aspell -a" do when entered from the command line?
