I know this version of the aspell library is no longer supported. However, the documentation that comes with the PHP 5.2.1 source code says that in order to use the pspell functions that come with PHP, you have to install these older libraries. If there is another solution than to use these older aspell libs please let me know.
No you don't. Please see my note on the online version at: http://us.php.net/manual/en/ref.pspell.php Aspell Author Here.Since Aspell 0.50, Pspell is no longer used. It is not necessary to download and install the Pspell package, only Aspell 0.50 (or better) is required. Aspell now provided a backwards compatibility interface for programs expecting the old Pspell interface (such as PHP).
