Follow-up Comment #2:
I don't understand the rationale behind this change request either. If you
need the contents of the tarballs in order to distribute AA on Debian, then
why don't you use the tarballs? Checking generated files into the Git
repository serves no purpose, IMHO, since those files can be generated simply
by running _make maintainer-all all_. Could you please elaborate your
intentions in slightly more detail?
